Requirements
Get ready with brief, focused responses for these items:
- Walk through your background and tie it directly to the position.
- Share the toughest communication breakdown you faced on a project and what you did to fix it.
- Describe your approach when requirements or ownership are unclear.
- What is driving your decision to switch roles?
- How do you define a fast working rhythm, and what keeps you effective under that tempo?
- What limitations do you deal with when working across time zones?
- Name a genuine area for growth and the system you have in place to address it.
Notes
- These questions appear inside technical interviews, so your answers need to be compact and not eat into the coding time.
- Anchor your pace and time-zone replies in repeatable habits, clear handoff rituals, and real situations, not a vague promise to work around the clock.
- A strong ambiguity example reveals how you spotted missing choices, located the right decision-makers, contained the risk, and still shipped clear progress.
Preparation
- Write out a tight 60-second story for communication friction, ambiguity, a weakness, and your reason for changing jobs.
- Practice telling those same stories in both English and Chinese, keeping the decision, action, and result intact instead of doing a literal translation.
- Build one specific cross-time-zone workflow that includes written handoff notes, shared working hours, and an escalation path.
