SWE Resume Deep Dive: Technologies and Outcome Metrics

Requirements
- Pick a project or experience from earlier in your resume and walk through it down to how it was actually built.
- Be exact about which parts of the work were yours, no matter how many years ago it happened.
- Name the specific technologies involved.
- Describe how the outcome was measured and what evidence confirmed it.
Notes
- The 45-minute SWE phone screen began with this deep dive, after which about 30 minutes went to C++ debugging and coding.
- Interviewers can still ask about older resume entries; an experience being dated does not excuse leaving out how it was implemented.
Preparation
- Go through each resume bullet, the older ones in particular, and note precisely what you contributed and which technologies you worked with.
- For every result you claim, record the metric and the way it was measured, and practice stating both so you are not piecing them together during the call.
- Rehearse a compact explanation of the project that can handle probing follow-up questions without eating into the time set aside for coding.
