Resume-Driven Language & Database Fundamentals

Requirements
- Describe MySQL transaction isolation levels and the visible differences they produce.
- If the resume includes services backed by MySQL, cover cluster concepts as well.
- Explain Java generics along with the language behaviors they involve.
- Explain garbage collection in the language from your previous work; one Java Developer candidate was asked about C# garbage collection instead.
- Tie every answer back to the concrete systems and implementation decisions named on the resume.
Notes
- This is not a static Java fact list. Interviewers pick fundamentals close to the candidate's background and use them to see whether the resume reflects real working knowledge.
- It is fine to say an unfamiliar topic is outside your experience; the conversation can then shift to technologies you have actually used.
Preparation
- Build a four-level MySQL isolation table and note one concrete anomaly or prevented anomaly per level; then outline the replication, failover, and consistency decisions of a cluster you have run.
- Create one Java generics example that reveals a type-erasure boundary, then trace the generation and promotion path of the garbage collector from your earlier runtime and link it to one production symptom you saw.
