This is a frontend-focused coding exercise built around React. You'll work against a supplied REST API, making GET, POST, and update calls via fetch, parsing the returned data, applying filtering logic, and using basic data structures like Set.
TypeScript is required—expect to both read and write typed code throughout the task.
Notes
The API sandbox is intentionally buggy; the interviewer will confirm that it contains defects. You're responsible for writing all the fetch/post/update plumbing from scratch. Study the API contract closely and anticipate producing a substantial amount of code under tight time constraints.
In at least one interview loop, candidates were given a choice between tracks (for instance, a React track versus an alternative); the React/TypeScript track was consistently described as the more manageable path for frontend engineers.
Lack of TypeScript fluency was explicitly flagged as a probable failure point for this round. Before the interview, practice writing typed fetch wrappers and implementing typed response filtering.
