Extract insights from a multi-entry funnel scorecard
TrueInterview
October 7, 2026 · 1 min read
Scenario
You receive a scorecard for a QuickBooks-style product that shows a funnel broken down by access point (more than 15 entry points, with very uneven traffic).
For each access_point, the data includes:
visitsapplication_startapplication_completepaid(orsubscribe)- Possibly additional step-level counts or rates (about 7–8 columns in total) The assumed funnel is: Visit → Application Start → Application Complete → Paid.
Task
- Provide three insights you would surface from this scorecard, ranked by business impact rather than simply the most extreme conversion rates.
- Recommend next steps for product, experimentation, or data work based on those insights.
Notes
- Several access points have very little traffic; describe how you would treat the long tail (for example, using an 80/20 approach). Overview: This question tests a candidate's ability to examine multistep funnel metrics, work with heavily skewed traffic across many access points, and prioritize findings from sparse or long-tail data, covering product analytics and measurement skills.
