Write four tight STAR(L) stories (no more than 8 bullets each; each bullet no more than 15 words) mapped to the leadership prompts below. For each story include: role, team size, stakeholders, start–end dates (MM/YYYY–MM/YYYY), constraints (time/budget/risk), actions, quantitative results, trade‑offs, and lessons. 1) Limited time: A high‑impact project with a fixed deadline. Explain what you cut from scope, which risks you accepted or reduced, and the measurable business or technical result. 2) Learn and Be Curious: A new skill you taught yourself under time pressure (6 weeks or less). Describe your learning plan, resources, how you proved you were proficient, and the value it created. 3) Bias for Action: A decision made with incomplete data (around 70% confidence). Cover the quick, reversible experiment, guardrails, success thresholds, and how you watched for rollback. 4) Ownership: A problem outside your normal duties that you owned from start to finish. Explain the durable mechanisms you put in place to stop it recurring and how you measured lasting impact.
Overview: The question assesses leadership, ownership, and communication skills for a Data Scientist by asking for compact, number-backed STAR(L) narratives that include role, team, stakeholders, constraints, actions, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.
