This is a remote, 30-minute screening conversation for a Staff Software Engineer role on Cash App, and it involves neither coding nor system design. You choose a project you worked on recently and talk the interviewer through it: how you designed it, how you got requirements aligned across teams, how you built it, how you lean on AI agents both to decompose the problem and to check what they produce, how your way of working has shifted over the last year, and how you have maintained it since launch.
